Inner city living...

After a brief jaunt back home to Melbourne, its back to ultra-density East L.A. along with the "June Gloom", endless days of mid-80s weather and sunshine coated in a thick blanket of smog and pollution. In preparation for today's going away party (myself to Tucson, Sasha to Israel, Morgan to England/Australia) we cleared out the backyard for the party. After hours of clearing cars, shrubs, weeds, wood piles, unidentified toxic waste, and so on, we found that the hens and rooster had been making babies, 12 of them to be exact, and more to come...

No one knows where they came from, who owns them, how they survive with numerous stray cats, or "which came first..."

...one more for the "awww" factor

EAT IT! EAT IT! EAT IT!

Aww, just kidding. Though maybe you can start selling organic east-LA eggs to Whole Foods.
